Ribbon Cutting held at Williston Council for the Aging
Williston Economic Development - The Williston Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for the Williston Council for the Aging recently. The senior center has renovated its facility located at 18 Main Street. During the past three months the center has served approximately 11,000 meals on wheels to seniors in the Williston area.
2020 Census featured at 1 Million Cups
Williston Herald - The 2020 Census and Department of Commerce’s Economic Resiliency Grant were the topics of conversation at The Chamber of Commerce’s 1 Million Cups event.
Williams County Communications and Research Analyst Officer Lindsey Harriman addressed the morning’s attendees in City Halls’ John Kautzman Chamber Room, speaking on the 2020 Census, and why completing the census is important for the state. Read More

News Release - The ND Department of Commerce has a new program designed to help you increase consumer confidence and attract customers back into your business by providing a Grant to offset the cost of investments that promote social distancing, improved sanitation, and reduce the spread of COVID-19. Equinor donates More than $10K in Health and Safety Supplies to Schools
News Release - Equinor, an international energy company, is donating over $10,000 in health and safety supplies to schools in McKenzie, Mountrail, and Williams counties in North Dakota. The donated supplies will help school communities to enact health and safety precautions to protect teachers, school personnel, and students from contracting and spreading COVID-19 as they restart in-person learning.  Read More
New Restaurant opens at Watford City Golf Course
McKenzie County Farmer - The Foxhole, a 6 Shooters’ LLC partnership, recently opened its doors at the Fox Hills Golf Course in Watford City. “We were told on July 10 that we’d be good to go on Monday, July 13. So we had about 48 hours to get our ducks in a row,” laughs Aaron Pelton. Read More

Meat Processing Plants in Eastern Montana receive State Grants
News Release - Gov. Steve Bullock and the Montana Department of Agriculture announced that over $7.5 million in grant funding has been awarded through the Montana Meat Processing Infrastructure Grant programs. The grants are designed to aid small and medium-sized meat processors in responding to the COVID-19 crisis through the adaptation and advancement of meat processing infrastructure and capacity in Montana. The grant program received incredible interest which reflects the necessity for increased in-state meat processing capacity. Read More
Construction Update on New Long X Bridge
Theodore Roosevelt Expressway - Here are progress pictures of the 4-lane Long X Bridge project and Wildlife Crossing over the Little Missouri. Below is a status report and pictures provided by Tyler Davis of Ames Construction:
  1. All precast concrete girders have been set and the deck formwork/rebar activities are ongoing
  2. Wildlife Crossing Phase 1 is complete and Phase 2 precast concrete arches are set and ready for backfill
  3. Phase 2 permanent erosion control (seeding, hydro-mulching, turf reinforcing mat) is complete
  4. Phase 3 earthwork is underway
  5. Demolition of the existing bridge is scheduled to take place through the winter of 2020/2021
  6. Overall project completion date is July 2021
