Our offices will be closed on Monday, May 31 in observance of Memorial Day. A Memorial Day Program featuring guest speaker US Senator Kevin Cramer will be held at 10:50 a.m. at Riverview Cemetery. The program will include a Rededication of the Monument to the Unknown. The public is invited to attend.

STAR Fund assists Business Expansions,
New Businesses

Williston Economic Development - The Williston City Commission has awarded up to $208,000 in STAR Fund incentives for five business at its meeting on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. The projects included Connect Us Therapy, Playworks Individual and Family Therapy, Dakota Convenience, Red Rock Collision Center and Red Mountain Investments. “The first quarter of 2021 was probably the biggest first quarter that I have seen in the 13 years that I’ve been with the office,” said Wenko. “And it’s not slowing down.” Read More

Commerce announces New Grants for Venue-based Businesses, Travel Agents and Tour Operators

News Release - The North Dakota Department of Commerce has announced that the Events and Support Services Grant (ESSG) application window will open June 10, at 10 a.m. CST. The ESSG is designed to assist event centers and supporting businesses that continue to experience negative impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic such as florists, caterers, photographers and decorators. United Airlines adds New Flights at XWA

KEYZ Radio - The Williston Basin International Airport is adding new flights, new destinations, and a potential new airline carrier. United Airlines will be returning to pre-COVID flight options, adding a third daily flight to Denver beginning on July 1. The flight schedule will include departures at 6:00 am, 8:00 am, and 3:00 pm and arrivals at 2:30 pm, 8:30 pm, and 12:00 am. Read More

ASBT Innovation Academy celebrates Ribbon Cutting

The Williston Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors held a ribbon cutting at the American State Bank & Trust Company Innovation Academy on Friday, May 21. The celebration included tours of the building and light refreshments. The Innovation Academy, housed in the former E.J. Hagan, M.D. Indoor Pool, provides a personalized learning environment for students in grades 5-8. The school's principal, Wyndy McGinley, cut the ribbon at the ceremony.
Senor Egg to open June 1 in Williston

Williston Herald - Williston is getting a new eatery offering a new take on some classic dishes. Senor Egg is currently under construction along Million Dollar Way, setting up shop in the former Quinn’s Bar and Grill. Owner David Garcia, who helped establish the Williston Brewing Company, said opening an establishment of his own has been a long time coming. Read More

News Release - ONE BASIN-One Way! has scheduled classes at the Midland College - Petroleum Professional Development Center in Midland, Texas the week of June 7-11, 2021. The classes are available for sign-up in ProCertX. DEADLINE TO ENROLL IS JUNE 1, 2021.
