Left Assemblymember Mike Gipson recognizes Salvador Lara for his service as our Honorary Mayor but also for his service and commitment to Clean Wilmington. Victor Medina on the right will be our new Honorary Mayor effective this Saturday, October 1, through September 30, 2018.  All of our candidates worked extremely hard during this campaign and we are grateful for their commitment to our non-profits and community. Victor worked for the Gang Alternative Program (GAP).

Yeslee Fuentes, right was one of our runners up for the Honorary Mayor Contest, working hard for the Wilmington YMCA.

This Wednesday, September 28, the Wilmington Neighborhood Council will hold an election  to fill ten seats with candidates representing the following areas:  

3 seats for those who live in Wilmington;

3 seats for those who work in Wilmington;

3 seats for those who own real property in Wilmington; and

1 seat for a Community Interest Stakeholder.

 

All Wilmington residents and employees of Wilmington business are eligible to vote in this election. To participate, bring a completed Voter Registration form (attached), your photo ID and proof you live or work in Wilmington ( click here for more information ).
