Wilton Library Readers: The Portrait of a Lady and Mrs. Osmond

New Perspectives Film Series: Dior and I

Follow the world of haute couture with a behind the scenes look at the House of Dior and their newly-appointed artistic director, Raf Simons, in the award-winning Dior and I. Watch his creative process up to the final moment before the runway show at Paris Fashion Week. The film also pays homage to the seamstresses and fabric cutters who serve Simons' vision. Suggested donation: $5. Refreshments served. The New Perspectives Documentary series is programmed and moderated by filmmaker Megan Smith-Harris. A Q&A will follow the film.  More info & register

CT Poetry Society Workshop

Three New Support Groups Forming in September 
  • Caregiver Support Group meets Mondays, September 10 through November 12, @6 to 7:30pm
  • Loss of a Spouse Support Group meets Wednesdays, September 12 through November 14, @1 to 2:30pm
  • Loss of a Loved One Support Group meets Saturdays, September 15 through November 17, @11am to 12:30pm
Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County and Wilton Library invite you to attend these new support groups where you will find support, empathy and understanding with others in similar circumstances. These support groups meet at the library and are free-of-charge. Pre-registration is required. Aranci 67 Restaurant Donates Proceeds to Library

Julia Perillo, owner of Aranci 67 in Wilton Center, is generously opening her heart and her restaurant for a fundraiser  in memory of Phillip Lauria, son of library executive director Elaine Tai-Lauria and her husband Phil Lauria. There will be two seatings on Thursday, Sept. 20; the first at 5:30pm and the second at 8pm, both offering a prix fix menu or à la carte. Fifty-percent of the evening's proceeds will be donated to Wilton Library's Cornerstone Endowment Fund in Phillip's name. Those wishing to participate in this thoughtful gesture should make reservations in advance directly with the restaurant at 203-587-1300.
