On Wednesday, October 25, 2023, the City’s contractor, BUR Construction, is beginning permanent pavement striping for the Winchester Street Reconstruction Project. This work was rescheduled from yesterday due to equipment issues. Minor delays are expected. Please watch for equipment and laborers in the work zone and follow all temporary lanes delineated by cones and barrels. Seek an alternate route if possible.
Once the pavement striping is installed, the roundabouts will now function to their full one or two lane capacity. Please drive slowly and allow time for other drivers to adjust to the new pattern.
Pavement marking symbols, such as arrows, crosswalks, and stop bars, are scheduled for Friday, October 27, 2023.
