Six members of both St. Clare and St. Thomas are invited to participate in the washing of feet on Holy Thursday. The Women's Afternoon of Reflection, sponsored by the St Thomas Christian Women, was held on Sunday, March 1st. We enjoyed an outstanding speaker once again, Grace Mazza Urbanski, Assistant National Director of the Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network. Her theme was "Holy Week Women," as she shared insights about Jesus' love of women and his interactions with them in the gospels. She encouraged us to focus this Lent on efforts toward being priests and prophets within our royal heritage. Grace is making available to participants copies of her slides as well as two other links; if interested, contact Terry at terry@tritchey.com.

Jerry and Marcia met in high school in Milwaukee and were married in 1963 at St. John’s Cathedral. They lived in Whitefish Bay after they were married and are blessed with five children, seven grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Jerry was a firefighter and paramedic for his career, and Marcia worked in banking. Fortunately for STA, when they retired, they looked to escape the “big city” and moved to Waterford in 1997, building a house in Fairview Estates. Their involvement with St. Thomas was immediately felt as Jerry led our acolytes and servers, and Marcia joined the Christian Women to serve as treasurer for many years. Jerry also served on Parish Council and as a Trustee. Together they have led bible studies at their home, and they were also involved with RCIA. They served as money counters for 20+ years, just recently stepping away from that ministry. They enjoy the quiet of the town they call home, and they certainly love being in the community of St Thomas. Please congratulate them on their selection, and thank them for their service to our parish community.

St Thomas Christian Women will sell ham and rolls after all Masses next weekend. Just $9 for 1-lb of delicious, sliced hot ham with 6 rolls. A tasty Lenten treat! Thank you for your continued support.

St. Thomas Christian Women are proud to announce that we will award $500 scholarships to four of our 2026 high school graduates! The students must be parishioners who are planning to pursue further education and/or training. Applications are available at Waterford Highschool, the parish office or online as a fillable PDF. Completed applications must be received by April 15th. Spring is coming! It's time to remove all the winter decorations. Please do so by Wednesday, March 25th. Remove any items you’d like to save and re-use. This includes shepherd hooks, statues, plant holders etc. All remaining winter decorations will be discarded. Please see the parish website for more details on cemetery regulations and what is acceptable. Easter decorations can be placed beginning Palm Sunday. Thank you and blessings to you and yours!

St Clare has been blessed with a beautiful 7.5 acre campus and it needs your help! In this year dedicated to St. Francis by Pope Leo XIV and a call to Care for Creation, we are looking for parishioners to help with the beautification and upkeep of our parish property. If you're interested in becoming a St. Clare Garden Cherub, follow link below to sign up and be a part of our garden adventures! There's also a sign-up sheet in the Narthex. You’re invited to a six-week grief support program, “Healing with Faith & Friends.” 

Every Wednesday for six weeks, beginning April 8th, 10 AM, St. Thomas Lower Level,

 Enter Second St. Door #3. Join us and learn how to validate your grief and discover coping skills for processing feelings in a healthy way. While the grief process can be difficult, better days are ahead. Come and receive hope, support and understanding in a safe environment. Feel free to bring a friend or loved one! 

One simple way to enhance your Lenten experience with almsgiving is to participate in the PENNY POWER and RICE BOWL campaigns! This is St. Clare's 26th year of helping the mission of the Schoenstatt Sisters in the Dominican Republic and often among their top campaign donors! Penny Cans and Rice Bowls will be available beginning Ash Wednesday. Please return them on or before Good Friday, April 3rd. It is in this spirit that our almsgiving is an act of love for God and neighbor.

On February 28th, our teenagers — affectionately known as “screen-agers” — stepped up in a beautiful way, offering their time and tech-savvy skills to assist seniors with their devices. From smartphones to tablets and laptops, our young volunteers patiently walked participants through questions, roadblocks, and everyday tech frustrations. They helped seniors navigate devices they already own, that are incredibly smart, but not always easy to master. As we all know, the older we get, the harder it can be to find someone willing to simply sit down, slow down, and explain things step by step. That patience was deeply appreciated. What unfolded was more than just tech support, it was connection. Conversation. Laughter. A genuine exchange between generations.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to serve — and especially thankful to our teenagers for showing up with generosity, kindness, and heart.

On February 14th, while many were celebrating Valentine’s Day with chocolates and flowers, our teens and parents chose a different expression of love, one rooted in compassion and service. They gave their Saturday to serve our neighbors at Repairers of the Breach, offering their time, energy, and hearts to those experiencing homelessness. It was a beautiful witness to what it truly means to love as Christ calls us to love. In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus reminds us, “For when I was hungry, you gave me something to eat… whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25:35–40). When we have been given much, we are called to give much in return, and this group lived that message fully. Please take a moment to thank these families for their generosity, dedication, and compassionate hearts. They remind us that love is not only spoken, it is lived. Click above to view video recap. The ADRC of Racine County has a new fall prevention initiative! Tai Chi for fall prevention (TCFP) has been proven to reduce falls by nearly 30%!
