PLEASE JOIN KNIGHTS COUNCIL 8172 IN CONGRATULATING BETH AND JOE KUCZKOWSKI AS ST. THOMAS' PARISHIONERS OF THE MONTH FOR APRIL

Beth and Joe were married in 1965 at St Thomas Aquinas Center across from the campus of Purdue University. They are blessed with four children, five grandchildren and one great grandchild, with another on the way. They lived in Indianapolis for about 40 years, then moved to Waterford when they retired in 2008. Joe and Beth were drawn to St Thomas by the welcoming spirit they encountered when visiting family. They began participating in Friday morning Mass and then joining parishioners for a light breakfast. Both Beth and Joe are members of the secular Franciscan Order. Soon after moving to Waterford they were surprised and delighted to find a secular fraternity that met at St Clare. Through the years Beth and Joe have been active in a number of St Thomas parish ministries. Both were members of the choir for many years and were also on the food pantry committee. Joe was involved with the combined St Clare/St Thomas adult formation committee and represented St Thomas at the 2014 archdiocesan synod. Joe served on the school committee, while Beth was a volunteer classroom aide in the school. Beth and Joe regularly facilitated communion services at adult care facilities in the area. Beth and Joe are grateful for the many parishioners at St Thomas who have graced their lives and for the pastors who have witnessed Christ’s loving presence to them. Please congratulate Beth and Joe for their selection and for their many contributions to the parish and the Waterford community.

Youth Honored for Faith in Action! Ella Sponholtz (St. Thomas) and Sophia Stengel (St. Clare) were honored on March 15th at a special reception with Archbishop Jeffrey S. Grob. They received a certificate, a Golden Rose Award, and membership in the Milwaukee Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women. They were recognized for living out Gospel values in their daily lives through their faith, leadership, and service. Both regularly attend Mass, actively participate in parish life, and encourage their peers to get involved. Their generosity, respect, and joyful example reflect true Christian discipleship. Sophia and Ella also took part in the parish mission trip, where they helped inspire and recruit other students to serve. If you see them, be sure to congratulate them and thank them for their inspiring example!
