Winding Down Winter Quarter
Hello, Global Slugs!

You may have noticed a new look to our newsletter. We'll be doing our best to make sure you continue to get the news and events you can use to connect with fellow Slugs around campus and beyond!

U.S. tax season is here! Did you know that if you were present in 2020 in F-1 or J-1 status or had U.S. income, you need to file at least one U.S. tax form? If you missed our tax workshops for international students and scholars, you can access recordings, slides, and other U.S. tax resources here. Remember that ISSS Advisors cannot legally give you tax advice.

As we get closer to Spring Break, we want you to be aware that there is still a travel advisory in effect for California. Please consult the CDC international travel guidelinesCalifornia requirements for self-quarantine after travel, and the Student Health Services guidelines to keep yourself and others safe. Remember also to check with ISSS for international travel and re-entry guidelines, whenever you are preparing to travel internationally.

We also want to connect students in need to the Sara Mathews Scholarship and the IIE Emergency Student Fund. You can find more information about these opportunities below.

As we wind down the winter quarter, we want to wish you good luck as you finish your classes and final exams. Enjoy your spring break! We look forward to connecting with you in spring quarter.
