Staff Updates

God Speed, Lucy!

Lucy Crain, our Director of Mission and Outreach, has accepted her first ordained call to serve as Associate Pastor for Outreach and Mission of First Presbyterian Church, Charlotte.

While we are sad to see Lucy leave, we are grateful for her time at Covenant, as she and her team led our congregation to new heights of mission and service. Lucy says, “I take with me all the goodness of this wonderful community. I have received far more than I have given."

Lucy will continue her work at Covenant through April 2, at which time we will hold a public celebration of her ministry among us.

Welcome Aaren Crawford: Our new Assistant Director of the CDC

Aaren Crawford has joined us as the Assistant Director of the CDC. Most recently, Aaren was the Director of Preschool Education at Sharon Academy. She previously served as Assistant Director at First United Methodist CDC. Aaren brings more than 20 years' experience in childcare to this position, including classroom teaching. She describes herself as “an enthusiastic, warm and caring professional who works to create an atmosphere that is stimulating, encouraging and adaptive to the needs of each child and family.” Please welcome Aaren to Covenant.
