Open Table Dinner & Programs

Dinner, prepared by Chef Johnny, is served 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Gluten-free options available. Cost is $10 for adults and youth in the sixth grade and above, $6 for children two years old through the fifth grade, with a family maximum of $38.


Tonight's Menu: Nacho Bar, Spanish Rice, Roasted Corn and Black Beans, Salad bar and Churros Prepay for dinner here*.

The Bible Said…That?

Sundays through November 23

Using an outline of respectful dialogue, facilitators will debate questions like “Was Jesus just a nice guy,” and whether the Bible calls us to “forgive and forget.” Following their debate-style presentation, participants will have the opportunity to engage in their own dialogue and debate. Join these adult disciples in their study of remarkable Old Testament figures and personalities. The primary study resource is Moses, In the Footsteps of a Reluctant Prophet, available on Amazon. The remaining 2025 classes meet on November 9 & 23, and December 14 & 28. On Nov 9 and 23, Bruce Chapman will explore the story of Noah through classic art.

High School Youth Friendsgiving

This coming Sunday, Covenant High School Youth will host our largest event of the year. All Covenant High School Youth, Advisors, and friends are invited and encouraged to attend. There is more than enough room for everyone around the table and it’s a great event to be a part of, no matter how involved you’ve been in the past. Young Adult Friendsgiving

Sunday, November 23, 3:30 p.m.; NoDa Brewing on Tryon

Covenant’s Young Adult ministry (20s and 30s) invites you to join us to celebrate Thanksgiving together at NoDa Brewing on Tryon, while also packing and preparing meals for our friends at McCreesh Place. Covenant will provide the turkey, gravy, and stuffing, but we need YOU to provide all the sides and sweets! You can rsvp and sign up to bring a dish here.

Christmas Eve Children's Play

Wednesday, December 24 at 10:00 a.m.


Calling all kids ages 5 or in Kindergarten who would like to take part in our Christmas Eve play about the birth of Jesus. All are welcome to join! You do not need to be a church member to participate. Kids will rehearse during the 9:30 Sunday School hour during the month of December and will perform on Christmas Eve. If you know of any child that is interested, please contact Amber Brown for more details. We’d love to have them be part of this special celebration.

Please join TLC as we celebrate the season with our annual Christmas Bingo Party. We will begin at 10:30 a.m. with refreshments and photos, followed by bingo, Christmas trivia, and the Grace Notes bell ringers. Please bring a Christmas-themed sweet to stock the snack cart at Highland Renaissance Academy. RSVP to Aisha by November 28.

Sign up to Prepare Thanksgiving Dinners for our Neighbors

This year, Covenant will continue our cherished tradition of celebrating Thanksgiving with our neighbors at Moore Place and The Rise on Clanton by cooking a holiday meal for residents. Volunteers are invited to prepare and deliver food — sign up here to take part in this meaningful ministry.


Please note: uniform 10x13 aluminum pans and lids are available in the Welcome Center for side dishes, and food drop-off hours are Sunday, Nov. 23 (9 a.m.–2 p.m.) and Monday, Nov. 24 (9:30 a.m.–12 p.m.).

this gift to the Welcome Center by Sunday, December 7, for delivery to students on Thursday, December 11. 

2026 Calendar Collection

Each year, Covenant collects new 2026 calendars for residents of Moore Place and The Rise on Clanton, as well as for clients at Crisis Assistance Ministry. Please bring your calendars to the collection bin in the Welcome Center!

Room in the Inn

Monday, December 8


Covenant welcomes our neighbors experiencing homelessness by hosting Room in the Inn. On December 8, the congregation has an opportunity to work together to ensure our neighbors have a warm tasty meal and breakfast the next morning. Families are encouraged to participate by preparing food in advance and/or serving our neighbors. Sign up here to volunteer to serve or prepare food.
