In-Person Worship Resumes This Sunday!

Join us in the Sanctuary at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. There will be no pre-registration or limitation on the number of attendees.


We will continue to offer a rich and dynamic online worship experience at both services.

June 6: Adult Sunday School Series Kick-off

Our Adult Education Summer Sunday School begins on June 6 and will run throughout the summer. It will take place in the Fellowship Hall from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.


This class will focus on today's "everyday theologians," featuring contemporary people who have influenced our world. We will kick the series off with Covenant Elder John Downs sharing about Harold Kushner.

June 6: Young Adults Crawfish Boil

Our annual spring social is back! We’ll have crawfish straight from the Louisiana bayou, cold drinks, music, games, and fellowship! This is a great opportunity to make new friends or to reconnect with old ones. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to welcome our new pastoral resident, Molly Smerko!

June 8: COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic

Covenant will host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic (Pfizer) on Tuesday, June 8 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This is open for anyone seeking a first or second shot.

Elder Nominations Now Open

The Elder Nominating Committee, chaired by Joe Taylor and Sarah Gaston, is seeking nominees for Elder and Youth Elder. The church will elect 10 adults and two youths for terms beginning in January 2022. Nominations are due by June 15.

As we celebrate the return to in-person worship, members of the congregation are invited to place flowers in the Sanctuary as part of our worship setting on Sundays. These can be in honor or dedication of a person or event or to simply add goodness and beauty to our worship space.

Volunteers Needed for Young Summer Scholars

This summer, Covenant will once again support Freedom School Partners, a summer literacy program for students, through a number of volunteer opportunities. We will partner with Highland Renaissance Academy students, and other scholars, who will attend the Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School site.

Become a Substitute Teacher at our CDC

The statewide shortage of childcare teachers has created an urgent need for additional substitutes at Covenant's Child Development Center. Please consider joining our team of substitute teachers.

Join a team of Covenant volunteers to pack food boxes for neighbors in need on Tuesday, June 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Loaves & Fishes.

Join Covenant Young Adults on Saturday, June 12 from 10 a.m. to noon at Covenant to prepare hundreds of lunches for our neighbors in Charlotte who are experiencing hunger or food scarcity challenges.

Open Picnic Table Begins June 9

Open Picnic Table, an informal Wednesday evening family gathering under Covenant's Magnolia tree, begins June 9 and runs through the summer. Bring a picnic dinner and enjoy time together with friends every Wednesday between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Popsicles will be provided.

Fresh Air and Fellowship: South Fork Trail

Join Covenant friends on Saturday, June 12 at 9:00 a.m. for an easy, 3-mile hike at the South Fork Trail in McAdenville, NC.
