Celebrate Holy Week at Covenant

Holy Week at Covenant will be rich with worship and sacred celebration.


  • March 28: Commemorate the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem with a virtual palm processional on Palm Sunday.
  • April 1: Set your table for with an at-home toolkit for Maundy Thursday
  • April 2: Join a livestream Tenebrae service on Good Friday
  • April 3: Visit the Covenant campus for a celebration of new life on Saturday. Also, tune in to online worship at 9:30 for a livestream of the Easter story as told by Covenant kindergarteners.
  • April 4: Mark the resurrection with communion, sacred music and a message of hope during online worship on Easter Sunday.

Today: Lenten Worship Service

Join Serenitye Taylor today at noon in person or online for a 15-minute, mid-day worship service featuring readings, music and ritual observances. This service will be rebroadcast at 7:30 p.m.

Join pastors Grace Lindvall and Serenitye Taylor for a Lenten Bible study on wonder and leaning into hope as we prepare our hearts for Easter. This will include time for questions, discussion and small-group breakouts.

Open Table: Order a Grab-n-Go Meal for Next Week

Take-and-bake dinner on Wednesday, March 31 will include ham, collard greens, sweet potato casserole, chili, cornbread and molten lava cake.

Update: Capital Campaign For a Whole Community

Exactly three years ago, Covenant launched an ambitious capital campaign to construct affordable housing, care for children and create a more welcoming campus.


If you made a pledge to the campaign, thank you. At this time, 96% of money committed during the campaign has been received. If you haven't yet fulfilled your pledge, you're invited to do so in the coming weeks.

Recreation Wing Now Open

The Covenant Rec Wing is now open on a limited basis, following new protocols guided by the church's Re-Opening Task Force.

Scholarships Available

For many years, Covenant has awarded scholarships to deserving college students for undergraduate and graduate studies through the Douglas E. Matthias Scholarship Program.

Applications are due April 15, 2021.


The Susan F. & Stephen J. Talley Music Scholarship provides funds for the study of traditional church music at a seminary or college, organ study at an intermediate or higher level and church music conference participation by Covenant high school youth. Contact Heather Potter for more information.

Make Texas Hash and brownies for Roof Above

Covenant is preparing a meal for the Roof Above men's shelter on Tuesday, March 30. Drop off hash (here's the recipe), cookies or brownies at the church tonight, Wednesday, March 24, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. or during weekday business hours in the Welcome Center.

Young Adults Second Saturday Service: Hope Haven

On Saturday, April 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Covenant Young Adults will engage in a COVID-safe project to benefit residents of Hope Haven, a place of recovery, providing life skills for adults and families within a supportive residential environment.

Operation Sandwich for Roof Above

Families are invited to make sandwiches or provide water for lunches on April 12. Drop-off will be at the church in the circle between 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Arts Task Force

Covenant's Arts Task Force invites the congregation to learn alongside them about the history of figures in the church's stained glass windows. Join this Open Table programming on Wednesdays, April 14, 21 and 28 to better understand the significance of people depicted in the windows and learn about ways other institutions have faithfully responded.
