A look at Christmas Eve worship schedule

A special offering will support God's work through our mission partners at Highland (Charlotte), Renguti School (Kenya) and Accion Ministries (Yucatan). Watch the video below and click here to give.

  • 11 a.m. Children's Worship: This child-centered service lasts 20 minutes and is followed by Nativity animals on the Circle and birthday cake for Jesus.
  • 3 p.m., Music of Appalachia: The worship team and special guests will showcase the mandolin, fiddle, banjo, double bass and piano.
  • 5 p.m., Traditional Candlelight: This Communion service features the Covenant Choir. A prelude begins 15 minutes before the service.
All services will be livestreamed at Media.CovenantPresby.org.

Where we stand: 2019 Stewardship Campaign
Your support is needed to reach our goal
A team has begun making phone calls to encourage pledges as Covenant seeks to fully fund our programs and ministries for the coming year.

We are currently 21 percent short of our pledge goal of $2,975,000. We ask you to commit so that we may plan our budget.

Progress report on new campus building
In spite of the winter storm and wetness, crews began pouring footings and installing rebar. This work will continue, and with the cooperation of the weather, could be completed by Christmas. Foundation work can begin at that point.

PNG was finally able to move the gas line, so that is now behind us. Now all we need is some sustained dry weather to get the foundation down and begin erecting steel. Let's hope dry weather will prevail over the next couple of weeks.

College Council hosts annual Christmas party
Tonight at 6:30 p.m.
Covenant's College Council invites college students and college-age young adults to a Christmas dinner hosted by Mollie and Philip James at 4011 Churchill Road. Contact Isabel Bader for questions.
Unified worship on Sunday, Dec. 30
10 a.m. in Sanctuary
Coming on the heels of Christmas, and approaching the new year, we'll focus on the Three Wise Men in Matthew's Gospel. They are often reduced to little more than add-ons in our Nativity. In fact, they are people of great influence whose lives were changed through an encounter with Christ.
