Join us next Wednesday for a special night of Open Table.  Make a reservation for meals and/or child care.
  • 5 p.m. - Soup and sandwiches in the Fellowship Hall
  • 5:45 p.m. - Practice singing carols
  • 6 p.m. - Depart on foot to visit homes of our neighbors (They're expecting us). We'll carry song booklets. Bring a flashlight!
  • 7 p.m. - Return to church for cookies and hot chocolate

As we begin a search for staff leadership, the Personnel Committee invites you to share your thoughts on qualities needed in Covenant's next associate pastor. We also welcome suggestions for people to serve on a search committee.

This year's stewardship campaign is entitled "A Time to Build Up" because we intend to  invest heavily in music, children, youth and local outreach.

  • During Sunday worship. Contributions made during services through Sunday, Dec. 30, will be credited to 2018 unless otherwise noted.

Ring in the season with Lessons & Carols
Sunday, Dec. 16 at 5 p.m.
The choirs of Covenant, accompanied by majestic brass, timpani, organ and bells, will lead our congregation in joyful worship with songs of the season celebrating Christ's birth. A special offering will support Crisis Assistance Ministry.
  • O Little Town of Bethlehem - a time to pray for Holy Land: Prayer stations will be open in the Chapel for you to pray for our mission partners working for peace in the challenged Holy Land on Sunday, Dec. 16 from 10:30 to 11 a.m.
Campus construction update
Foundation work set to begin 
Trucks moved 70 or so truckloads of dirt last week as better weather allowed the pace of work to pick up. Site work will continue through the remainder of this week and if the rain will hold off, foundation work will start in coming days.

Affordable housing construction team joins the community
Harkins Builders is building more than apartments
Harkins Builders, the general contractor for the affordable housing site on Freedom Drive, is not a local company. But when team members arrived in Charlotte, they wanted to get involved in the community a meaningful way.

The team reached out to the Movement School, next to the site of the affordable housing complex, to see how they could build relationships with neighbors during the construction process. Over Thanksgiving, the team and had a great time picking out the turkey and all of the fixings the family requested. Patrick, Pete and Paul (shown at right) delivered the meal.
