Fèlsina Chianti Classico
For me, Fèlsina produces the greatest Chianti Italy offers. Theirs are brooding wines of poetry, purity, emotion, depth and light. Wines that are made to pair with family, friends, food and thought. A pairing note: Years ago I was in Tuscany having lunch at another winery. One of the courses of that lunch was Chianti Classico with Prosciutto wrapped figs. My mind melted. It was and still is one of the most wonderful food pairings I have ever experienced. We are currently in the midst of fig season. I highly recommend snagging a bottle of Fèlsina, some fresh figs and Prosciutto, have a seat outside on the patio while the sun sets, and enjoy the quiet beauty of the pairing. -Greg
