Our mission is to enhance the lives of individuals in the Upstate of South Carolina through the power of the horse.
November 2018
Hello Happy Hooves friends and family,

Thank you to everyone who helped make Wines & Equines such an unforgettable evening and such a success!  Over $24,000 was raised to support our non-profit therapeutic riding program.  We cannot express how much we appreciate our Happy Hooves business partners who made donations to support Happy Hooves.  Please be sure to check out these amazing people and organizations.  If you haven't seen the photo album Wines & Equines , be sure to check it out!

Jonathan, one of our Happy Hooves riders, loved being part of the therapeutic riding demonstration at Wines & Equines!

Also, how would you like to take your children to a family friendly event where they can ride "reindeer", visit with Santa, see a live interactive Nativity Scene, nibble on hot chocolate & cookies, and much more?  We hope you save the date for CHRISTMAS AT THE BARN on Sunday December 9th, 2018 from 2pm to 5pm.  Tickets are on sale now!
Photos from last year's Christmas at the Barn can be found here!  We hope to see you there!

God bless you and keep you,
Becky Sweeney

Shane looks forward to
'riding days'!

Shane is a first grader at Concrete Primary and will be turning seven in just a few days. He began coming to Eden Farms after his Occupational Therapist suggested equine therapy would be beneficial to him.

Shane is outgoing, loves everyone and doesn't meet a stranger. He has had many hurdles to face but continues to amaze us with excelling in school, primarily in reading. He was diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder at age 2 and began therapy. During that time the therapist recommended further testing as she suspected he was in the Autism Spectrum. After a lengthy time of being on a waiting list, appointments and testing, Shane was diagnosed being in the Autism Spectrum and also ADHD. During these tests it was also revealed he has Central Sleep Apnea and a mild seizure disorder.

He has Speech, Occupational, Physical therapies and blessed to have Equine Therapy at Eden Farms. He always looks forward to 'riding days' and says bouncing on the horses " Makes him feel so good"! We are blessed to be a recipient of a scholarship.  There is something special about the one on one bond that he shares when riding horses that he really loves. He has been fortunate to have been a recipient of riding sessions and Horse Camp during the Summer.

Workplace Giving - Employee Matching Program

Many employers also have programs designed to match their employees' charitable giving, and this is an easy way to double your impact! You can ask your employer if they have an Employee Matching Gift program and you may be surprised to find out there are many companies who offer this.

Did You Know?

Happy Hooves has been a PATH International Premier Accredited Center since 2005. In fact, we are one of only six Premier Accredited Centers in South Carolina, and the only one in the Upstate. This accreditation is a rigorous process requiring centers to meet stringent requirements for staff, facilities, and programs. A program must be re-accredited every five years.

Your contribution helps special needs children and adults, as well as at-risk children and teens.
Happy Hooves is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
