FCA Students Taking Flight for Christ
October 2018
2 Timothy 2:15 (NASB)
15  Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.

Greetings in His Service!

This School Year, 2018-2019, marks our 23rd anniversary. We have welcomed 220 students, VPK-Grade 10. God is blessing His ministry abundantly at FCA!

Our summer was very active and very rewarding. Our administration devoted considerable time, energy and enthusiasm planning for this school year. One very important piece in our school operational plan is the safety and security on both campuses.

Please be assured that the safety and the security of each student and member of our staff is paramount to us. We are uncompromising in staying focused on researching and implementing best quality practices in this effort.

As an important part of enhancing security, new metal fences were installed at the Lower Campus. The Lower Campus and Upper Campus now have a new keycode entry system.

In addition, our staff participated actively in Avoid, Deny, Defend (ADD) training which is, currently, the most up-to-date system in the event of an emergency involving an “unwanted” visitor on our school grounds.
“All Eyes and Ears on Board” remains a steadfast means of daily vigilance on our campuses. Our daily safety protocol demands and expects that administration and staff are the faithful and vigilant stewards of our precious students.

The administration has started to create Safety Advisory Panels comprised of parents for both campuses. Respectfully, we ask that all parents and students continue to cooperate with us to maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment at FCA.

Our Board of Directors meets on a regular basis and is prayerfully and faithfully committed to the success of each student and the future progress of Faith Christian Academy as the benchmark of Christian education in our community.

Our September Open Houses were very successful and well-attended. FCA believes in the partnership of God, Family, and School. These three factors are key in the formula for the success of each child.

Our Fall Sports Program is underway. Kindly support our student-athletes as they proudly wear the colors of our school and are ambassadors for Christ on the playing field, track, and court. Each team is off to a great start!

Please check our FCA Facebook Page to keep apprised of daily activities and upcoming events. Kindly share this information with friends and neighbors. We are growing disciples for Christ. Your help is important and greatly appreciated.

FCA is fully-accredited by the Florida League of Christian Schools (FLOCS). Our faculty and administration are certified. Plans are in progress to reach even higher standards by achieving AdvancEd accreditation. Great schools are works in progress, “Teaching, Learning, Creating and Achieving!”

Faith Christian Academy, by His grace and guidance, envisions a future that is bright and promising. We need your help, faithfully, in prayers and in financial support. Will you join me in prayer daily for our school--and will you join me in making a financial investment that will ensure a future founded on Christian principles and Christian values?

Thank you in advance for your prayers and financial support. Your involvement helps propel us forward so that our students can experience tremendous academic preparation and meaningful spiritual formation at Faith Christian Academy.

In Faith and Friendship,

Bryan Alvaré

Happenings at a Glance...
Faculty and Staff of Faith Christian Academy had a wonderful time of instructional team-building on Lofton Creek this past Saturday. The goal of this activity was to have teachers and administrators work together for the academic success and spiritual development of each and every child at the school. Thanks to Jami McCormick and Amelia Island Kayak Excursions for coordinating this rewarding experience!
Faith Christian Academy hosted their first home cross country meet of the season on Saturday, September 22 at Littleberry Farms in Fernandina Beach. FCA placed second of the five teams competing with a total of 59 runners. Zachary Yale, a tenth-grader at FCA, placed second overall for boys, and Makayla Hay, a seventh-grader at FCA, placed fourth overall for girls. Ninety percent of the FCA team members improved their times since their first meet earlier this month, but Nick Cribbs showed the greatest improvement in his time. Thanks to First Christian Academy (High Springs, FL), Victory Academy, Northside Academy (Jacksonville), and Southside Academy (Waycross, GA) for a terrific meet!
Guardian Angel Program
A letter was recently sent to the many, many friends of our school, our Guardian Angels . Our goal is to raise $50,000. Your financial assistance is greatly needed and appreciated. We believe God has set us on a mission to grow His kingdom by investing in our students and programs. On behalf of our present student body and those children whom we have yet to meet, I pray you will become an active and faithful supporter of FCA.
