FCA Students Taking Flight for Christ
June 2018
Dear FCA Family & Friends,
We are grateful for what the Lord has done at Faith Christian Academy. It’s been a school year unlike any other!
The addition of 100 students over the last three years has brought wonderful families and has opened up new possibilities. With the inclusion of 9th grade this year, it is exciting to know that the journey toward a VPK-12th grade student body has taken another step. My prayer is that we will solidify our growth and, God willing, set the stage for even greater things to come for our school in the future.
Planning for the 2018-19 school year is well under way. I would like to highlight the following undertakings that will sustain our trajectory as a school of excellence:
  • Explore new ways to share the love of Christ in our community and around the world.
  • Add a 10th grade.
  • Pursue AdvancEd accreditation, a nationally-recognized accreditation, with the goal increasing student performance and implementing a continuous process of school improvement..
  • Accomplish additional phases of our school safety plan.
Thank you for your continued partnership with FCA. When the church, the school, and the home are on the same page, amazing things can happen. As Ecclesiastes 4:12 reminds us, “a threefold cord is not easily broken.” Your support of these initiatives will add tremendous value to each and every student who steps foot on our campuses. Together, we are educating for eternity!
Please feel free to call or stop by over the summer. Our office hours at both campuses will be 8am-3pm, Monday through Thursday. We will be closed July 2-6 in observance of the 4th of July holiday. In early July, we will text and email information regarding Orientation. As a reminder, school resumes on Friday, August 10, 2018. Hope you have a safe and happy summer!
For God’s Kingdom and His kids,

Bryan Alvaré

Staff Appreciation Week
Administration, Parents and Students showered our teachers and staff with gratitude during Staff Appreciation Week. On Monday parents provided a delicious breakfast (with enough leftovers for lunch!) for all the staff. On Tuesday the staff received Amazon gift cards for their AMAZing work. On Wednesday staff received recognition for always being on TARGET, and on Thursday "Nacho Ordinary Staff" received gift cards to Cantina Louie's! Our awesome parents gave us a special lunch break on Friday by supervising all the students while staff enjoyed a fabulous lunch catered by one of our wonderful grandparents, Kathy Green, and her talented son, Lynn Lee.
We are truly blessed with a terrific family of parents, grandparent, students and staff at Faith Christian Academy!
Night of the Arts
Mrs. Jennifer Brooks, Fine Arts Teacher for both the Lower and Upper Schools, hosted an evening of music and Bible-themed skits on Tuesday, May 15 at River of Praise Church in Yulee. Theater students from the Upper Campus did a great job sharing what they had learned, with a few giggles and laughs along the way. Choruses from the Lower and Upper School also performed.Thank you, Mrs. Brooks, and fabulous students for your hard work and an evening of fun entertainment!
Guardian Angel Program
A letter was recently sent to the many, many friends of our school, our Guardian Angels . Our goal is to raise $50,000. Your financial assistance is greatly needed and appreciated. We believe God has set us on a mission to grow His kingdom by investing in our students and programs. On behalf of our present student body and those children whom we have yet to meet, I pray you will become an active and faithful supporter of FCA.
