FCA Students Taking Flight for Christ
March 2019
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Dear Friends,

Temperatures are rising. Bright colors are replacing browns and grays. There’s only one explanation: spring is on the way! We know the God of the universe brings new seasons, and with it, new life!

As we enter the last quarter of the school year, there are many amazing experiences and events happening at our school.

Next month, our school will host a Florida League of Christian Schools (FLOCS) accreditation team. This accreditation renewal process provides us the chance to assess the quality of our program, as we continue to work towards becoming a greater school of excellence.
Whether it’s the Invention Convention, Parade of Nations, or the launch of our Soccer program, our students have the tremendous opportunity to grow academically and spiritually. If you are looking to change schools, make the call to us! Come see the difference a Christ-centered education can make in the life of your child.

Whatever your type of partnership with us may be, we are grateful to call you friends. We are thankful for your connection to our school!

In Faith and Friendship,

Bryan Alvaré

Tournament Talk

The FCA Angels boys and girls middle school basketball teams played in the Southeastern Christian Conference tournament in Waycross, Georgia on February 8th. Our girls' team lost against First Christian Academy from High Springs, Florida in a close game, and won against Hart to Hart Academy from Lake City, Florida. Our boys' team lost two games by a total of 3-points and played with a lot of passion. Our middle school girls received the best Christian Attitude Award by a vote of the other coaches in the conference .

Our varsity girls team played in the Southeastern Christian Conference Varsity Tournament at Old Plank Christian Academy on February 14th-16th. Our Angels ended up 5th in the conference after winning against Corinth Christian Academy from Jasper, Florida and losing an elimination game to First Christian Academy from High Springs, Florida.
After the Corinth game, our girls visited the Corinth team to let them know they played a great game:

“I know I’ve already posted these pictures but I wanted to say this is the team that beat us. The loss put us out of the tournament but they were nice & respectful young ladies and came in to tell our girls that they played great. To me that speaks volumes. It’s more than just playing basketball 🏀
Oh & they gave my niece who is the only senior on the team a rose. — feeling blessed.”
Woot Woot!
The Woot-Woot Wagon paid a visit to a few special students! Teachers nominate students at the Lower School whenever they see someone doing something woot-woot-worthy. In recognition of their kindness, service or achievement, students are allowed to choose an item from the trinkets and treasures on the wagon. You can tell from their smiles that this small token of appreciation really means a lot!

On behalf of our present student body and those children whom we have yet to meet, I pray you, our Guardian Angels, will become an active and faithful supporter of FCA. Our goal is to raise $50,000. Your financial assistance is greatly needed and appreciated.
