FCA Students Taking Flight for Christ
February 2019
1 John 4:7-8 (NKJV)

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.  He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

Greetings in His Service!

The success of this year's Father-Daughter Ball truly exceeded our expectations. This event has become part of our mission of keeping families connected to God in celebration of dads and their daughters. The Father-Daughter Ball has grown to become an annual tradition in our wonderful community. Over these many years, we are very blessed and very thankful for the hundreds of fathers and daughters who have participated in it. Our heartfelt gratitude to our tireless and dedicated volunteers who make it a success.

We are pleased to announce, with prayerful anticipation, that FCA will be offering Grade 11 for next school year. It is not too early to be thinking about enrollment.

Our new and improved FCA website launched earlier this month. Please take some time to check it out:

FCA continues to be the only independently accredited Christian school in our region. Our faculty and staff, along with our board of directors, is committed, faithfully, to provide the education and spiritual foundation that parents and grandparents expect and our children deserve. Your prayers are greatly appreciated. Your volunteerism is valued and as we grow forward, your financial help will be gratefully needed.

As always, each one of you remains, faithfully, in my prayers. You play an important role in God's ministry at FCA.

In Faith and Friendship,

Bryan Alvaré

8th Grader Gives Back to School in a Big Way
Tyler Brooks of Troop 549 in Yulee and current FCA 8th grader completed his Eagle Scout Service Project on Saturday, February 2, 2019. The landscape project consisted of removing over 1300 SF of dirt and sod, installing 150' of edging, 1300 SF of weed blocker landscape fabric, 17 tons of 3/4" Brown River Rock, and planting 20 Croton plants and 20 Illex Schilling plants. The project is located at the FCA Upper School Campus located off Blackrock Road in Yulee. The goal of the project is to enhance the exterior entrance of the school building and also reduce erosion from rain coming off the building. Since November 2018, Tyler raised over $3,300 to pay for expenses and spent over 60 hours planning and executing his scout service project. FCA Is very grateful that Tyler selected the upper school campus for his Eagle Scout project. This work has improved the school’s entrance and added value to our campus. The project was well-organized, and many people pitched in to move this project to the finish line--over 45 volunteers consisting of fellow boy scouts, eagle scouts, friends, school classmates, school staff and family came to help Tyler with his service project. The results are amazing! Once again, our FCA Community is very grateful to Tyler, his family and the many volunteers who made this project an overwhelming success.
Congratulations, FCA !
We are blessed to announce that the Nassau County Chamber of Commerce has selected our school as a nominee of the Award for Outstanding Non-profits. FCA is proud to be nominated as this honor recognizes the work that staff and students do every day.

FCA celebrated Spiritual Emphasis Week. The program is a first at the Academy, and focused on each student's individual walk with our Lord. As part of this formative teaching experience, students in the Upper School were introduced to SCORE: Serving Christ Our Redeemer Everyday. Our goal, faithfully, remains to raise up strong Christian leaders and achievers.
