Construction Update
U.S. Route 7 and East Allen St.
DATE: Friday, 7/22/22

TRAFFIC IMPACT:

One-way alternating traffic will be required in the vicinity of nighttime operations.

Please use caution and reduce speed when driving through the construction zone. Structures will remain raised until the wearing course of asphalt has been paved.

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES:

Removal of the tree stump on the sidewalk area near Manseau Street will occur early next week. Installation of the base for the pedestrian beacon on the island near Manseau Street will begin next week.
Please note that when traveling east on Route 15 (toward the interstate), the left hand turn onto Manseau Street has been eliminated in order to accommodate the increased size of the new pedestrian island at this location. The size of the pedestrian island is being changed in order to improve safety for pedestrians and the traveling public. Please observe all signage at this location, and proceed with caution.

On the abutting Burlington roadway project, sidewalk ramp work will be occurring on Colchester Ave. and Riverside Ave. intersection. Alternating one-way traffic will be required in this area during work hours.

Work on this contract will be performed at night. All nighttime work hours are 7:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday night. It should be noted, however, that work may be performed at times on Friday nights.
Paving shim over the Winooski Bridge earlier this week.
