CALTRANS IN ACTION!
Anyone who lives in California understands the mobility problems and challenges we face. When someone thinks of mobility, they may generally think of personal transportation; however, it’s a much larger scope than that. Enter Caltrans and the California Freight Mobility Plan (CFMP).
The California Freight Advisory Committee (
CFAC) meets quarterly to participate in the development of the CFMP, to serve as a forum for the discussion of freight-related topics, to help coordinate regional freight priorities with other organizations, and to advise the State on freight-related priorities, issues, projects, and funding needs.
CP&A is honored to be working with Caltrans on the CFMP for 2019. As part of the outreach process, CP&A presented to CFAC during their November 29th meeting in San Francisco to gain initial feedback regarding the process. On February 20
th
, CP&A will revisit San Francisco to walk through the format for our public workshops and engage the many stakeholders that are CFAC members. We look forward to engaging with stakeholders and members of the public across the state to discuss how best to plan for the future of Freight in CA.

GRAND OPENING: MORE BEDS FOR MORE PATIENTS
CP&A is proud to support the grand opening event of CHOC Children's new 18-bed pediatric mental health unit on March 27th. The celebratory event will include CHOC VIPs, Saddleback Church founders Rick and Kay Warren, and a variety of elected officials. CP&A assisted the CHOC team in organizing the groundbreaking event last fall, and we are equally proud to play a part in this special event to mark the opening of such an innovative project, which will be an invaluable resource for families whose children struggle with mental illness.

WELCOME, OBRIA & SOCALGAS!
We are excited to introduce our two newest clients, Obria Medical Clinics of Southern California and Southern California Gas Company. Obria is the largest network of life-affirming women's health clinics in Southern California, with locations in Orange, Mission Viejo, Long Beach and a mobile clinic. CP&A will be providing operational and fundraising support for the non-profit organization, which provides low-cost medical services including pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, well-woman, and prenatal care for women in need.

CP&A is also proud to be partnering with SoCalGas on its Advanced Meter Infrastructure project. The Advanced Meter technology upgrade is a natural step in SoCalGas’ evolution of service and reflects its commitment to delivering safe and reliable natural gas, enhancing customer service, and improving air quality. We look forward to serving both of these clients!

#OCGAMECHANGERS2018
CP&A joined 700 of the Orange County's leading businesses at the Orange County Business Council's (OCBC) Annual Dinner on February 8th. The #OCGameChangers theme -- highlighting the local leading innovators in the areas of technology, science, and ending homelessness -- was capped off with a keynote speech by Robert Herjavec of the Emmy award-winning TV show, "Shark Tank." Fun fact: "Shark Tank" only has that title in America, while in most countries it is known as “Dragon’s Den.”
Congratulations to Lucy Dunn, OCBC CEO, and incoming Chairman of the OCBC Board, Steve Churm, on
another successful and memorable event!

PLANNING, TEAM BONDING, AND PAUL ANKA
What better way to start off 2018 than with an amazing office retreat in the beautiful La Quinta? The weekend was filled with planning, team-building, delicious food, and even Paul Anka! We successfully completed planning for the year and came up with ways that we can better serve our clients. Not only did we set aside time for work, but we also made some room for play. We had the opportunity to see the incredibly talented Paul Anka perform, and it was a spectacular show! We later put our singing skills to the test as we sang karaoke together. We had an incredible time and are excited for what we have planned for this year!
