2019 Capital Improvement Projects

Swine & Sheep Barn

The Colorado State Fair Foundation has been busy building programs for youth as well as fundraising for renovation projects throughout the state fairgrounds. Projects have included renovation to the Growing Minds Dormitories, Livestock Pavillion, and the new Horse Barn in the Horse Show area. The CSFF has raised more than $1,400,000 in the past 6 years to support 4-H and FFA youth programs and experiences at the Colorado State Fair. The Colorado State Fair Foundation raises funds to philanthropically support the Colorado State Fairgrounds. Each year the Foundation sets a project goal to be completed. This year, the Colorado State Fair Foundation launched a capital campaign to raise funds for the renovation of the Sheep and Swine Barn. This project provided the barn with new paint for the windows and shutters, as well as replace any that are broken or rotted. This project benefits the youth exhibitors who bring their animals to the fairgrounds during the State Fair. The CSFF presented the Colorado State Fair with a $17,000 check at the Commissioners Luncheon during the fair. The Sip

Thank you to everyone who attended our annual fall fundraising event The Sip, on Saturday October 19th. Our sincere appreciation for your tremendous support of youth and agriculture at the Colorado State Fair. Congratulations to our Outstanding Service Award recipients, Connie Cecil (Volunteer) and Kristine Hoffner (Youth). Thank you for all you have done to inspire others to seek success and leadership opportunities. Thank you to all the 4-H and FFA youth who volunteered their time to help make this event a success. We are also extremely grateful for our tasting partners! This event would nott be possible without your support to aid the Foundation's efforts to enhance youth programming, education and experiences at the the Colorado State Fair.

4th Annual Partners of Youth in Ag Golf Tournament Presented By

The 4th Annual Partners of Youth in Ag Golf Tournament has grown tremendously! Thank you to everyone who came out on Friday August 23rd to Walking Stick Golf Course! This year we had over 120 players and a bigger tournament than ever before! Introduced this year, was a Welcome Par-Tee and Calcutta on Thursday August 22, before the Tournament. Congratulations to the calcutta winners and champion golf team. We look forward to seeing you next year!

Foundation Membership Club

The Foundation Membership Club is a private, lunch, dinner, lounge and bar located on the top floor of the Palace of Agriculture. The club is open each day during the Colorado State Fair for club members and their guests to enjoy. Funds generated from membership aid in the Foundation's ongoing efforts to support our mission. The 2019 Club membership grew to over 250 family members. Welcome new 1872 and Buckle Club members, we are excited to see you renew for next year's fair. Click the link to learn more!

Alumni Buyers Group

The Foundation's Alumni Buyers Group is a group that consists of past, current and future 4-H and FFA members that have sold an animal at the Colorado State Fair Junior Livestock Sale. 100% of the contributions go towards purchasing an animal at the sale.  The Alumni Buyers group raised funds to purchase two lambs at the 2019 Colorado State Fair Junior Livestock Sale. Thank you to everyone who donated. Recognition Benches at the Colorado State Fairgrounds

Recognition benches are a benefit of joining the Colorado State Fair Foundation's Partners of Youth in Ag annual giving program Join the Colorado State Fair Foundation Partners of Youth in Ag annual giving program by purchasing a recognition bench. We invite you and your family, business or company to purchase a recognition bench to be displayed during the next 5 years at the Colorado State Fair. ​By purchasing a bench you are supporting the foundations mission to enhance youth programming, education and experiences at the Colorado State Fair.  Benches will be placed throughout the fairgrounds and showcased for 5 years. You can choose your own color and personalize the bench. There are two different places; a 14-character message on the backrest and one tamperproof plaque that will be attached to the backrest. A minimum contribution of $2,500 for each bench. Benches are 8 ft. long, thermoplastic coated and covered by a five-year limited warranty.
