Manager's Notes
Hello Everyone,
Well, as I write this article for the newsletter we are nearing the end of 2019 and soon entering 2020. Time sure does fly. The center continues to be busy as always and we are looking forward to the New Year.
Our last event of the year, Breakfast with Santa, will take place on Saturday, December 7 th . This is always a fun event with your little ones and of course, their parents. The staff is working on events for the upcoming year so please be sure to check out our website for current event schedules, center hours and fitness and pool schedules.

You may have noticed some construction at the end of the parking lot. The City is installing 2 electric charging stations for electric vehicles.
We continue to update some of our older fitness equipment in order to keep everything working well. I need to give kudos to Don Newman for working so hard to keep our spin bikes in top notch condition. We will be doing our annual maintenance of the pool and other areas the week of December 15 th so please take notice of the signs posted for exact dates and times for areas to be closed.
Top Seed Tennis Academy continues to offer phenomenal tennis programs for all ages. If you are considering taking up tennis or want to get your kids playing, you may want to check out all of their programs offered. You may contact the front desk here at the center for more information.
We want to wish everyone a Happy Holiday and a Happy New Year!

Calabasas Tennis and Swim Center
Top Seed Tennis Academy
Hello Everyone,
Top Seed Tennis Academy, Inc., who has partnered with the City of Calabasas since 1994, has finished 2019 with a record number of private lessons, adult clinics, leagues and tournaments. Top Seed has worked extremely hard over the years to offer the best tennis programs for adults and juniors, was honored that the City of Calabasas mentioned the partnership at the 25 th Anniversary Celebration, and we anticipate many future successful years together.
As we approach 2020, Top Seed will implement some changes with our Adult Socials and Tournaments with the goal of increasing participation by holding them on Friday nights and opening up the opportunity for more people to play as most players have commitments with USTA on Saturdays and Sundays. The USTA Pro Tennis Championships of Calabasas will once again be held in March so look for details from Jeff Richards, our Tournament Director. You can email Jeff for requests for Sponsorship opportunities, tickets, Silent and Live Auction items or just general information at

Adult and Junior private lessons are available seven days a week in the mornings, afternoons and evenings. Please contact Brady Hiete, our Tennis Director, at and he will assign the right Tennis Professional to improve your doubles or singles game. If anyone would like to inquire about Adult Drill Classes or possibly set up their own Private Adult Clinic contact Brady who will find the right Pro for the job! Top Seed continues to have the best staff in Southern California and recent additions within the last year include the following: Drew Belzer, Arnau Dachs, Zak Khan and Jaan Kononov. They are incredible tennis coaches and along with our original staff, Top Seed is set up for another very strong year in 2020!

The Top Seed Junior After School Program and Summer Camp continues to grow exponentially. This past summer, we have had many days of 100% capacity for the first time since we partnered with the City of Calabasas in 1994. The junior program is getting stronger and more competitive every month. A Top Seed junior, Katrina Scott, played at Wimbledon in the Junior Division and the US Open both in the Junior Division as well as the Women’s qualifying event which is a great example of what the junior program can do. Along with Katrina, we now have the number one boy in the 18 and Under in Southern California, Bruno Krenn, who just signed his letter of intent to go to the University of Utah next Fall. These two players, as well as all of the Juniors at Top Seed, are improving every week and soon we will be watching them on TV or in person at some of the best tournaments in the world. Not only do we have top juniors training here at the Calabasas Tennis and Swim Center and Top Seed, but we also offer something for all levels of players - as young as 5 years old! If anyone has any questions about upcoming events, tournaments, lessons or our Top Seed Junior Academy please contact Terri Secondino, our Top Seed Business Coordinator, at

We all look forward to seeing you on the courts for the upcoming 2020 tennis season. If anyone has inquiries about Top Seed and/or what we can do to help your experience at the Calabasas Tennis and Swim Center please email me at
