Funding Priority

IRIS’s Recovery Research Program seeks applications for pilot research projects focused on answering important questions related to measuring treatment outcomes, enhancing care coordination, examining barriers to treatment, or exploring specific factors that contribute to recovery for individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD). Priority areas include projects aimed at reducing opioid overdose, projects that study the impact of recovery housing alone or in combination with formal treatment, and harm reduction strategies to reduce opioid use and related risk behaviors, such as intravenous drug use. 

There will be two information sessions via Zoom to discuss this RFA and

funding opportunity:

We're Hiring: Clinical Research Assistant

The IRIS team is excited to announce that we are growing and looking for candidates interested in contributing to the opioid recovery community through research. 


This position will work with researchers and staff from the IRIS team as well as community partners active in substance use services, training, and advocacy. The selected candidate will provide administrative support to the IRIS team on internally driven projects and help community partners implement research studies.

This article addresses barriers and facilitators in the utilization of medications for opioid use disorder (MOUDs) within recovery residences (RRs). Despite the evidence base for both recovery pathways, numerous obstacles stand in the way of combining these recovery pathways to their full extent.
