Winter 2023

Message From The President

Greetings Greater Texas Community,

The cooler weather is upon us, and the holiday season has begun. I hope you all can spend time and

celebrate with your friends and family in the coming month. As the year comes to an end, it is always a

good time to reflect. I am grateful for this community and the passion and dedication we all share for

providing the best care for children and their families throughout the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area.

We had a busy fall season which was kicked off by our Pharmville conference. Next week, we will hold

our December General Chapter Meeting and annual toy drive benefitting Genesis Women’s Shelter. It is

always such a great time, and I hope to see you all there.

Looking forward to next year, the NAPNAP annual conference will be held on March 13-16 in Denver,

Colorado. Please find more information including registration here. If you are unable to attend in person

in March, they will also have a virtual conference available from mid-May through July 31, with access to

over 80 recordings from the live presentations in Denver.

Thank you for your continued support of our chapter, and I look forward to seeing you all soon!

Best,

THANK YOU!

The Greater Texas NAPNAP board would like to once again thank the wonderful speakers, sponsors, and vendors of this years Pharmville. Without them, the event would not have been possible.

Pharmville 2023

Pharmville 2023 was a huge success. We had some incredible speakers present on topics such as adolescent psychopharmacology for the primary care provider, pediatric obesity and weight loss medications, congenital syphilis, current substance abuse trends, RSV updates, and contraceptive updates. Attendees shared a full day of learning, eating, shopping, and networking with fellow pediatric providers. Please enjoy some pictures from the event and make sure to watch for the next Pharmville. You won't want to miss such a great local opportunity to obtain pediatric focused pharmacology education.

Pediatric Resources

If you attended Pharmville this year, you may have seen or heard about this book. If not, we wanted to share this resource with our NAPNAP community. There is a link below that will take you to Amazon for quick purchase if you feel this could be helpful in your daily practice.

A Place for Positivity

Recently, our former NAPNAP president Julianne Doucette, dropped off the blankets made by our chapter members for Arrow Child & Family Ministries. The team was so grateful to the members who made a blanket and said they plan to give them to the case workers to drop off with individual foster families over the holidays so the kids can enjoy the blankets we made!
