The BC Coast Region is pleased to introduce a series of Skater Development opportunities for STAR 1-4 skaters that will begin in the new year.
Seminars will focus on skill and performance development as well as movement fundamentals for this early stage of athlete development. Seminars will offer a brief introduction to all 4 disciplines of skating*: singles, pairs, dance and synchronized skating. Seminars will include both off Ice and on Ice instruction.
Coaches are also welcome to attend.
Seminar Dates:
- Sunday January 7, 2024 - Richmond, BC
- Friday February 16, 2024 - Langley, BC (Provincial ProD day - new concept we are testing out on Province wide ProD days)

April 2024* - Synchro Only Seminar, welcoming new and experienced skaters and coaches interested in learning more about this exciting team focused discipline.
Format:
The day will be divided into 4 sessions by STAR level. Each session will include 2 hours of on-ice instruction and 1 hour of off-ice instruction for a total of 3 ½ hours. Each STAR level will be capped at 30 skaters. We welcome all coaches to attend with their skaters during sessions that interest them.
Parent Engagement Sessions:
Parent engagement presentations will be offered to parents at the January and April seminars, covering various topics of interest about STAR 1-4 programming. Times will be announced closer to the seminar dates.
