Winter 2025 news from Florida Church Planters!

Exciting Things Coming in 2025!

God continues to open doors for additional churches to be planted in Florida and we are highly anticipating the the launch of three new FCP churches across our state!

In April, David and Dimara Miller will launch Unity Christian Church in Leesburg. David has been building a strong launch team that is both multi-generational and multi-ethnic. A picture of his launch team is a beautiful expression of how God’s Kingdom truly is for everyone.

October will bring the launch of a new church in Sarasota (name will be revealed very soon). Michael and Amani Swearingen continue to raise funds and build their launch team. This plant will be an exciting new season for Southside Christian Church who has graciously given their building, and several people from Southside are planning to be part of this brand-new church. Renovations to the facility will begin in the next few weeks.

This fall is also the launch target for the Cutler Bay Project. Cesar and Gisella Salinas will lead this primarily Spanish-speaking congregation in the location that previously housed the South Dade Christian Church. Cesar is also in the midst of raising funds and building a launch team.

Please pray regularly for these three church planters who are working very hard every day to prepare for healthy beginnings. Pray for the conversations they are having with many people who do not know Jesus, for their fundraising efforts, for their launch teams and for God’s protection as they deal with Satan’s attacks that always come when planting a new church.

Future Opportunities

Florida Church Planters continues to talk with others who are interested in planting churches in Florida and we look forward to introducing these planters to you in future months.

We are also exploring a creative partnership to reach people in Miami. A couple of weeks ago leaders from Global City Mission and from Florida Church Planters made a joint scouting trip to Miami. We are dreaming and looking for leaders who would have a passion for this great metropolitan area. We spent time exploring communities like Hialeah where over 80% of residents speak Spanish, neighborhoods like Little Haiti, and Coral Gables near University of Miami, we felt a deep need for workers who would be willing to help us take a creative approach to reaching these communities. Together, our ministries are sounding the call and praying for laborers who will love the city as Jesus does.

If you feel this might be something God is placing on your heart, please reach out and begin a conversation with us here

You Can Make a Difference!

The need for churches and individuals who will partner financially with FCP has never been greater.  The increase in the number of churches we are planting has stretched the funds we have to give to these plants as seed money and to provide important services to each of them very thin.  To continue planting churches at this rate, we need more financial support.  You can make a gift to FCP here.  If you would like to have a conversation about supporting FCP, contact our Director here.
