Dear Good Neighbor Members,
As I reflect on our past year, we have had so many wonderful trips that you, our Good Neighbor Club members, have made possible by traveling with your fellow friends at Lake Region Bank.
To name a few, we had an amazing trip to New Zealand and Australia, in the spring we were fortunate to enjoy the San Juan Islands, Leavenworth, and Seattle. July brought us on the Colorado Rail Adventure enjoying several beautiful scenic railroads. September found us in California enjoying famous Chinatown, with a stop at the Golden Gate Bridge. Our trip took us to Virginia City where we later enjoyed a cruise on Lake Tahoe. Always a favorite trip is to Branson, MO, where we enjoyed many Christmas Shows and stayed at the charming Chateau on the Lake. Many of these trips were requested by our members.
If you have a trip you would like to go on and would like me to research, please feel free to contact me! If it’s on your “bucket list,” it just might be on other Good Neighbor Club members' lists as well! Looking into 2025, we have a trip planned to Ireland and Scotland and an amazing Canadian and New England Fall Foliage Cruise planned. A New York City Christmas and Portugal in spring 2026 are also on the horizon.

Chief Deputy Kent Bauman with the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office will
be coming in to touch on a number of subjects. Kent has been in law
enforcement for over 28 years, 25 of which have been with the Kandiyohi
County Sherriff’s Office. Kent will touch on a number of topics, bring your questions as there will be time for a Q and A at the end of his presentation.

It is not too early to think about going to see our Minnesota Twins play! As always we will have a motor coach that will drop us off and pick us up with very little walking involved. Purple Rain

The world premiere stage adaptation of Prince’s legendary film and album, Purple Rain is based on the original screenplay by Albert Magnoli and William Blinn, and features a book by Tony Award winner and two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, music and lyrics by Prince and direction by Tony Award-nominee Lileana Blain-Cruz. Longtime Prince collaborators Bobby Z and Morris Hayes join the award-winning creative team as Prince Music Advisors.

Plans are being made to do a “Staycation” at Palm Mountain Resorts in the heart of Palm Springs. At this time, I do not have all the prices, but do have the dates set. If you think you may have an interest in our winter getaway, please give me a call and as soon as all the prices come in, I will get you a full itinerary along with pricing.
While there, you can take advantage of the Open-Air Street Market on Thursday evening with many vendors, music, and lots of food booths.
Free admission to Palm Springs Art Museum on Thursdays from 5-7PM.
Great shopping, eating establishments, casino, and theatre all within walking distance of our hotel. A new feature in 2025: the hotel’s van will deliver and pickup a group of 4 or more to go eating, gambling, or see movies if you wish not to walk.
I am working on a couple of group events, but we will not be traveling all day!

June 17 - 28, 2025
Join the Good Neighbor Club on a trip of a lifetime to extraordinary Ireland and Scotland!
This 10-day trip will be spent exploring all that Ireland and Scotland has to offer.
We will start the trip out with a self-guided tour of the Guinness Brewery and sample Ireland’s famous stout. Next, we will travel along the scenic southern coastline through
Dungarvan, Youghal, and Cork on our way to Blarney, In Blarney you will have the opportunity to visit the Blarney Castle and kiss the famous Blarney stone. We will also
check out and journey along the coastline to the majestic Cliffs of Moher, which rise
600 feet above the surface of the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy the amazing views and exhibits
in the visitor’s center before we ride through the Burren with its unusual landscape.
Finally, we will check into the beautiful Atholl Palace Hotel located in Pitlochry, known as the Gateway to the Highlands, and offers award–winning gardens with scenic mountain and river views! This is a trip you do not want to miss!

Discover the beauty and charm of Eastern Canada and the coast of Maine on this 11-day land and cruise adventure!
The Old Port of Montreal and the Old City within the wall of historic Quebec City are just the beginning of this very special trip. On our 7-day cruise, we’ll visit three other Canadian gems, including Prince Edward Island, Sydney, and Halifax. The beautiful coast of Maine tops off our cruise with visits to Portland and Bar Harbor, where we’ll visit Acadia National park before we arrive in Boston for a wonderful visit, including a final night dinner where we’ll raise our glasses and say “Cheers!” to a fantastic trip!

New York City in December—where the festive holiday atmosphere is around you at every corner! We'll experience the elaborate storefronts, the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, the fabulous Rockettes performing at Radio City Music Hall, and much more!
We'll see two Broadway shows, visit the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, and take a brunch cruise down around the tip of Manhattan and right in front of the Statue of Liberty. We'll also walk on Wall Street, eat our way through Brooklyn on a pizza tour, enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride through Central Park, and take guided driving tours of many unique neighborhoods such as Greenwich Village and the Upper West Side. We hope you can join
us on a trip to the "Big Apple" at the most magical time of year!

April 7 - 15, 2026
Join us on an amazing adventure to Panoramic Portugal! We'll spend three nights in central Lisbon, surrounded by beautiful architecture, vibrant colors, and old-world charm. We'll attend a traditional fado show- a musical performance that showcases Portuguese culture and music. We'll visit the stunning Jeronimo’s Monastery - a UNESCO World Heritage Site - and a local tile workshop, where we try our hands at creating our own tile masterpieces!
We'll travel to the historic and romantic Sintra to see magnificent palaces and the beautiful countryside. We'll journey to Fatima, where we'll enjoy the serene surroundings of this world-renowned pilgrimage site, followed by a guided walking tour of the prestigious University of Coimbra, one of the oldest in Europe. After an overnight in Coimbra, we'll travel to charming city of Porto for three nights! Here we'll indulge in local cuisine, stunning architecture, delicious wine, and beautiful scenery. We'll enjoy two boat rides - one on the picturesque Douro River, surrounded by vineyards, and the other along the coastline at sunset. You'll have time to explore the magic of Porto on your own before we
make our way back to Lisbon for our flight home!
