15-LOVE Welcomes

Karen Hansen as Associate Executive Director

15-LOVE is pleased to announce the appointment of Karen Hansen as Associate Executive Director. In her new role, Karen will support strategic growth, strengthen community partnerships, and help expand access to 15-LOVE’s year-round youth programming.

For more than 35 years, 15-LOVE has used tennis as a pathway to academic success, integrating literacy, STEM education, college preparation, and healthy living into programs that serve youth and families across the Capital Region. Karen’s leadership will play a key role in advancing this mission.

“Karen brings deep leadership experience and a strong commitment to mission-driven work,” said 15-LOVE Board President Jonathan Jones. “Her background in fundraising, program development, and community engagement will help us broaden our reach and continue supporting underserved youth.”

With over 25 years of experience spanning higher education and the nonprofit sector, Karen brings extensive leadership to her work. Most recently, she served as Regional Advancement Director for Blood Cancer United and previously spent 17 years at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as Senior Woman Administrator and Associate Athletic Director.

“I am honored to join 15-LOVE and look forward to working with staff, volunteers, and partners to expand opportunities for young people on and off the court,” Karen said.

Karen lives in Niskayuna with her wife and their three sons. We are pleased to welcome Karen to 15-LOVE and are confident her experience and enthusiasm will be a strong asset as we advance our mission together.
