H&A adds GMP Certification by UL Labs

We have some news! Herbalist & Alchemist’s good manufacturing practice (GMP) has been certified by Underwriters Laboratories (UL). While we have always been confident about our quality practices and regulatory compliance, UL certification is an easily recognizable symbol that tells our customers we have been inspected by a trustworthy certification authority and found to meet high standards.

UL’s inspection of our facility found that H & A is in conformance with National Brand Certification Program Requirements and Dietary Supplements 21 CFR Part 111 et al, 21 CFR Part 121, 21 CRF Part 117 (Subparts A, B and F), and 21 CFR Part 1 (Subpart L), NPA GMP Standard for Dietary Supplements. The scope, which is for the manufacturing and packaging of dietary supplement liquid and solid extracts, extends to March 22, 2029.

AHG News

Our own David Winston has been elected to the board of the American Herbalists Guild for this year, and Nicole Smith, H&A National Sales Manager, has been elected Vice President of the North New Jersey Chapter of the American Herbalists Guild for this year.

St. John's Wort / Sage Ointment is Back

With St. John’s wort flowering tops and White Sage leaves infused into organic pure extra virgin olive oil, beeswax and lanolin, this mildly aromatic ointment has been used traditionally for moisturizing dry skin. The addition of Propolis and the emollient Vitamin E keep the ointment stable naturally.

David Discusses Liver Health and the Botanicals That Support It in Latest Blog...

Why Liver Health Matters: The liver is one of the most remarkable and resilient organs in the body. It works continuously, without rest, performing hundreds of vital functions that help maintain overall health and balance. Among its many roles, the liver supports normal metabolism, processes nutrients from food, produces bile to aid digestion, and assists the body’s natural elimination of metabolic wastes.

David Winston's Students: Where are they Now?

Amanda Adams has been with Herbalist & Alchemist since 2021. A student of David Winston's Center for Herbal Studies 2-year program, she started in the production department and seamlessly transitioned to Quality Control Assistant Manager where she ensures products meet H&A's rigorous standards and are in compliance with FDA regulations.
