On Tuesday, eight students from Carrollton Upper Elementary School had the opportunity to go to City Hall and have lunch with Mayor Betty Cason. Mayor Cason talked to the students about what her job entails and how local government works.

Yesterday was National Random Acts of Kindness Day and the CJHS Project Kindness club showed kindness by making Valentine's and special gifts for every CJHS student, teacher and custodian this week.
Pre-K Valentine's Dance was a sweet treat

Motivational speaker Kevin Atlas visits CHS
Students at Carrollton High School had a special guest speaker today. Standing almost seven feet tall with his left arm discontinued just below his elbow, Kevin Atlas has faced a great deal of adversity throughout his life. He became one of the top high school basketball players in his home state, played one postgraduate year at a military school in Virginia and also earned a full athletic scholarship to join the Manhattan College Jaspers in New York City. Kevin achieved becoming the first disabled player in NCAA history to receive a full Division I athletic scholarship in his sport. Kevin is now a motivational speaker who shares his story to help change the attitudes and perspectives of all types of people.
