Food insecurity has long touched communities across our country, but in recent months it has felt closer to home. In Maine, Girl Scouts are responding the way they always do: by noticing a need and taking action together.

For Troop 5043 in Auburn, that commitment resulted in 700 donated food items for the Auburn Middle School food drive. Each can and box represented a belief that small actions add up to meaningful change.
This is the power of Girl Scouts. Girls learn that community care starts where you live and that leadership means showing up for others. With the support of generous partners across Maine, Girl Scouts continue to ignite leadership that meets real needs today and builds a stronger tomorrow for us all.
