2023 Winter Convocation

February 3-4, 2023

We're Back in Person Again!

Kalahari Convention Center, Sandusky, Ohio

REAL CONNECTIONS

Ministries to Strengthen Church and Community Relationships

Building upon her book, REAL CONNECTIONS, Joy Skjegstad will lead us in discovering practical ways we can develop deeper and more meaningful relationships with each other and our neighbors, which we know is foundational to our mission as Christians in the world (BCP, 855). The first 300 adult registrants will receive a copy of her Real Connections book to help develop these ministry practices in our parishes. Joy's professional bio is here.

Friday Evening Keynote: The Crisis of Connection and How the Church Can Respond - Loneliness and isolation are more prevalent than ever in the U.S. But the church can play a pivotal role in helping people get more connected to one another and build relationships in the community. Joy Skjegstad will share about the cost of this crisis and offer hopeful thoughts about what the church can do.

Saturday Morning Plenary: Making Relationships the Heart of Community Ministry - Everyone always says “it’s all about the relationships,” but how do we do that exactly? Joy Skjegstad offers a fresh approach to thinking about the community around your church and how you could go about building deeper connections with neighbors.

We're also very glad to welcome Bishop-elect Anne Jolly to the Convocation!

She will be with us to preach at the Eucharist and meet as many people

as she can on her first visit to the diocese since her election.

Register for the Convocation here!
