Message from the Board Chair

Dear friends and supporters of the Colorado Women's Hall of Fame,

As we embark on the month of March, I am honored to acknowledge and celebrate Women's History Month, a time dedicated to recognizing the invaluable contributions and achievements of women throughout history. We are thrilled to unveil Season VI of the "Great Colorado Women" film series, a celebration of extraordinary women who have left an indelible mark on the vibrant tapestry of Colorado's history and culture. Mark your calendars and tune in to Rocky Mountain PBS!

The Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame deadline for nominations has been extended to May 1, 2024. The class of 2024 will be inducted in the Spring of 2025, marking the 40th anniversary of the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame.

“Our 2025 Inductee Gala will celebrate 40 years of women, wisdom and wonder. This milestone is a true testament to the collective power of sharing the stories of these amazing women, and we hope this inspires future generations of young girls and women to not only create their own legacy, but continue to honor those who came before them.”

About the Event

Join Dr. Antonia Novello, the first female, first Hispanic Surgeon General of the United States, Carlotta Walls LaNier (invited), the youngest of the Little Rock Nine, and Linda Alvarado, who changed the gender makeup in construction and was the first female owner of a MLB team for a panel discussion in celebration of International Women’s Day.

Hear stories and advice from these three National Women’s Hall of Fame inductees about how they overcame obstacles, shattered glass ceilings, and work tirelessly for their communities. Each panelist is a pioneer in her own right, making significant contributions to society and striving to create more equality for women across the United States.

This event is in partnership with the University of Denver Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science and The Colorado Women's Hall of Fame.
