Winter Farmers' Market
The sun may have set on the Meridian Township Farmers' Market's summer season, but the Winter Market schedule is ready!

Join us most Saturdays from now until the end of 2023, then on the first, third, and fifth (if applicable) Saturdays of each month through April 2024.
Basketball Registration Open
Registration for Winter 2024 basketball has opened! Clinics are available for kindergarten through 6th grade students in the Haslett area. Select the Youth Sports from the menu provided at the link below to register. Basketball for Okemos residents is coordinated by Okemos Community Education.
Snell Towar November Schedule
Throughout the month of November, join Meridian Township Parks & Recreation staff on Tuesdays and Thursdays (excluding Thanksgiving) from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm for open-center hours at Snell Towar Recreation Center!

Christmas in the Village
Get in the holiday spirit as you enjoy Christmas traditions from the 1800’s at the Christmas in the Village, happening December 10 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm! This event will include a meet and greet with Santa, children's crafts, a tree lighting ceremony, and more!
Thanksgiving - Township Closed
Meridian Township offices, including the Harris Nature Center, will be closed on Thursday, November 23 and Friday, November 24 in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. Regular office hours will resume on Monday, November 27.

Anyone Can Paint
Find your inner art aficionado! Join the Meridian Senior Center (4000 Okemos Road, Okemos) on December 5 at 9:30 am for a guided painting session where you can paint a beautiful Christmas ornament! Cost is $30, and registration is required by December 1 at 517.706.5045.
Harris Nature Center Spotlight
HNC Thanks Kiwanis Club for $10,000 Donation
Earlier this year, the Kiwanis Club of Haslett-Okemos presented the Harris Nature Center Foundation with a check totaling $10,000 dollars. This donation will expand HNC's Nature Exploration Area, adding a Log Crawl-Through Tunnel play feature.
Let's Talk Turkey
There is no secret that we think about turkeys in November. Join us on November 12 to learn about the history and adaptations of the Wild Turkey in Michigan. We’ll also explore fun facts and folklore of these birds and enjoy a guided walk in the woods.

There is a $5/person fee due at the time of the program.
Chipmunk Story Time
Story time comes alive at the Harris Nature Center as children interact with puppets Chicory Chipmunk and his animal friends. Stories are followed by nature activities and a guided walk. On November 16, we'll enjoy stories about Giving Thanks!

Meridian Conservation Corps Spotlight
Red Cedar River Cleanup
Join a community-wide event to celebrate and cleanup our beautiful Red Cedar River!

Led by Michigan Waterways Stewards, join the Meridian Conservation Corps and a dozen local organizations on November 11 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm to cleanup the beautiful Red Cedar River and learn new recreational activities on the water.
Seed Sorting Party
Come join us for a fun session of sorting native seeds collected by MCC volunteers! Our seed sorting party will take place on November 15 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. We will have popcorn, cocoa, snacks, and a movie playing!
Stewardship Saturday
Our Saturday stewards play an extraordinary role in preserving Meridian Township's native beauty! Join us on November 18 from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at Tihart Preserve to sow native seeds in at our stewardship site and help bring this old farm back to its native roots!
