Winter Newsletter 2025–26

Winter in the vineyard started off with some very welcome rain, over 11 inches by the first week of January! While hot, dry weather makes for quality grapes come harvest time, in the off season the terroir needs its version of rest. Here in Paso Robles, that means rain (and an extra pour of Pinot for Roger).

The positive effects of a good rainfall are numerous, but most beneficial is that the acid content in rain cleanses the soil of salts deposited from irrigation. If you don't get to see our green season, enjoy these photos of our abundant winter cover.

Harvest Results and Our New Release

Leading up to our harvest in 2025 we experienced one of our driest seasons in our 25 year history here in Paso Robles. These conditions led to a low yield but great quality. We look forward to updating you on how the vintage matures over time.

Previously only available to Wine Club Members, we are now happy to release our 2020 Quatre Cépages to the public. We aged this blend for 30 months in French and Eastern European oak barrels, and similar to most of our 2020 vintage, it is ready to drink now. We only produced 137 cases, so remaining quantities are quite limited (hint: order soon!).

In the essence of saving the best for last, we want to welcome Sarah as our Wine Club Manager. If you think she looks familiar, that's because she is literally family!

Wife to Roger's son Sebastien, mom to Emilie and Elise (Lola too!), and little sister-in-law to Isabelle, a more perfect fit for this role could not have been dreamt of.

Whether you are an existing Wine Club Member or have questions about joining our Wine Club, you can reach out to her directly.

From the whole team here at RN Estate: thank you for your continued support and we wish you the best in 2026!

Roger, Bryan, Sarah, Sophie, and Elvis
