Greetings!

Winter has arrived! We received a healthy snowfall in late October, signaling an earlier-than-usual change of seasons. It was just as we finished another successful monitoring of our 64 easements: nearly 9,000 acres of permanently protected land in Grand County. We are forever thankful for the positive relationships we have with our easement grantors and look forward to welcoming many more into the land trust community in the coming years.

This work is only done through your generosity and support.

CHLT put several more irons in the fire in 2019; these projects are funded by a variety of sources, one of which being Grand County’s Open Lands, Rivers, and Trails (OLRT) fund. This year we received two OLRT grants: one to appraise over 700 acres on the Granby Trails Highlands property and one for a potential 240-acre easement by Hot Sulphur Springs. The OLRT funds go a long way to guarantee the success of each project!

The other large funding source includes supporters like you!

Your tax-deductible donation will help us continue protecting the land, water, and natural resources we all love so much in Grand County . To make your gift, please visit our website, call our office: (970) 887-1177, or send check or card information to:
