The Shopping List...

Winter squash is one of the most hearty vegetables of any season. They are beautiful, nutritious and they store well. Here are a few ways I like to prepare them (click on the recipe for how to prepare):

To store squash, wipe the surface clean with a wet cloth, then dry it

and keep it in a cool, dark place.

How to produce less waste at the Farmers Market:

*Use cloth bags, and

reusable containers to

protect fragile produce

*Bring reusable containers for drinks and prepared food

*Ask vendors if they take

bottle returns

*Compost food waste

*Avoid Plastic
