Welcome to our Winter Newsletter

and Quarterly Question!

Winter greetings, everyone! Although it hasn't felt like it for much of January and February, at least in many portions of our state, winter is still with us. A lot of us spend much of the winter planting or dreaming of planting, from seedlings in our forests to seedling starts for our gardens. In the spirit of planting seeds, the OTFS Board, through the Communication & Landowner Journey working group, is launching a new quarterly Newsletter format.

If you want to learn more about the other six working groups, as well as a current list of Board members, feel free to check out the Board page on our website. If you're interested in learning more about the Landowner Journey working group in particular, you're really in luck because we have our own page on the website: The Landowner Journey. In a nutshell, the Landowner Journey working group exists to support YOU, Oregon forest landowners committed to sustainable forest management, wherever you in your journey, from folks just starting out to long-time OTFS members.

We also want to share with the broader community the value of being a part of OTFS. From our website to our Facebook and Instagram accounts, we want to get the word out about who we are, what we do, and how our forest management provides multiple benefits to Oregon's forests and Oregon overall.

While all of us on the Communication & Landowner Journey Working Group are OTFS members, we know that we don't have all the answers. And we know that no one tells the story of woodland owners like Oregon Tree Farm woodland owners--and that's where our new Quarterly Question comes in: we want to hear from all of you!
