Dear Supporters of Uni Pres Kindercottage

We are incredibly grateful for the kindness and generosity you continue to show us, especially during challenging times. Every donation of food, toys, toiletries, and financial gifts has made a significant impact on the daily care of our children and families, as well as the ongoing operations of our center. Exciting Updates

We are thrilled to share that faithful members of Zoar UCC in Columbia have taken on the financial part of the painting project and garden bed restoration at UPK. Their dedication and generosity mean so much to us, and we deeply appreciate their commitment to enhancing our children’s learning environment. 

Current Needs

As we continue our mission, we are currently in need of the following essential items:

 Hand soap, toilet paper, and napkins to maintain hygiene and comfort for our children.

 Indoor planting materials – including pots, soil, green bean seeds, and indoor flower seeds – to foster hands-on learning and environmental stewardship.

 Playground equipment for our toddler playground to create a safe and engaging outdoor space.

As Valentine’s Day has come and gone we took a moment to celebrate the love, kindness, and dedication that fill the halls of Uni-Pres Kindercottage. Every day, our teachers and staff pour their hearts into creating a nurturing and inspiring environment for our children. Their unwavering commitment shapes young minds, fosters confidence, and builds a foundation for lifelong learning.

At Uni-Pres Kindercottage, we proudly celebrated Black History Month with a vibrant and meaningful Dashiki Day! Throughout February, our students and staff engaged in activities that honored the rich history, culture, and contributions of African Americans. The classrooms were filled with excitement as we explored African traditions through storytelling, music, and art.

Teachers introduced children to influential Black leaders, inventors, and changemakers. Through songs, dance, and creative projects, our young learners enjoyed discovering the creativity in the African American community.
