2024 Winter Newsletter

Celebrating 25 Years!

This is an exciting year for Curt Pringle & Associates as we celebrate 25 years of service to our clients. Since 1999, we have had the pleasure of playing a critical role in some of the region’s most exciting and dynamic projects. This is a great milestone that was made possible by an incredible team, determined leadership, valued clients, and an emphasis placed on delivering results. From all of us here at CP&A, we thank you for taking a moment to celebrate our silver anniversary with us. We look forward to a bright and successful future with your support!

Welcome to the Team: Paulina Alvarez

We want to welcome the newest member of the team, Paulina Alvarez. Ms. Alvarez joined Curt Pringle & Associates as an Account Coordinator in January of 2024 and is focused on government affairs, community relations and policy development as she jumps in to assist with the firm’s clients.

Prior to joining CP&A, Ms. Alvarez worked for the California State Assembly as a field representative for Assemblyman Phillip Chen, serving as a key liaison between constituents and the Assemblymember. She spoke to community and business leaders and worked to understand complex issues and provide solutions. We are thrilled to have Paulina on our team. We are confident she will prove to be a valuable asset to our clients.

"Open California’s" Oral History Series

We are pleased to share this three-part Oral History video series, which chronicles Curt Pringle’s rise through politics, his time in the legislature and the impacts he had as Mayor of Anaheim. This series is presented by Open California and the California State Library. Open California is a nonprofit dedicated to informing and educating Californians on public policy and state governance, while also facilitating engagement with public officials and advocates.

In this video series, longtime Capitol journalist Dan Morain interviews Mr. Pringle, exploring his remarkable journey from the family dry cleaning business to the office of Speaker of the California State Assembly and beyond.

We invite you to watch the three-part series as Mr. Pringle pulls back the curtain on the “how’s” and “why’s” during an informative, consequential time in the history of California politics.

2024 CP&A Staff Retreat

In January, the CP&A team came together for our annual staff retreat! This year was notable as we commemorate our Silver Anniversary. This retreat was not only an opportunity to recognize the achievements of 2023, but also a platform to discuss how to best serve our clients throughout 2024. We are excited for what lies ahead in the coming year and look forward to sharing it with all of you!

Client Highlight

CP&A client, Share Ourselves, announced earlier this year it will be launching a new community health clinic in Costa Mesa, partnering with Newport Mesa Unified School District, at BESST Center, located at 2045 Meyer Place Unit C, Costa Mesa, CA 92627, adjacent to Rea Elementary School.

Share Ourselves is a federally qualified health center dedicated to delivering comprehensive health and support services to the Orange County community. Their mission is to provide care and assistance to those in need and act as advocates for systematic change. Regardless of insurance status, Share Ourselves warmly welcomes individuals and families, prioritizing their physical, mental and emotional well-being. They offer a range of services including preventive care and wellness visits, sick visits, immunizations, health screenings, behavioral health, case management and eligibility screening to determine financial and/or resource needs.

“We continue to see a tremendous need in Orange County, and we are so excited to open up this new facility in Costa Mesa,” said Share Ourselves CEO Christy Ward. “The school district has proven to be a tremendous partner in this effort. We are eager to expand our presence in this city, ensuring individuals and families have access to healthcare in a professional, modern environment.”

The clinic will be fully operational by March 18th, while it undergoes a full remodeling. Share Ourselves will progressively expand the days of operation in the coming months. Share Ourselves expects the modernization of the facility to be complete in the fall. This expansion marks a great milestone as Share Ourselves establishes its first partnership with a school district, further solidifying its commitment to serving the community. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be announced later this year to commemorate clinic’s grand opening.

Today, Share Ourselves operates clinics in Anaheim, Costa Mesa, Mission Viejo, Newport Beach, and Santa Ana. For more information about Share Ourselves, visit their website.

Paul Simonds Gives Veterans Day Message

In November, CP&A Senior VP, Paul Simonds, spoke at Liberty Christian School in Huntington Beach as part of their Veterans Day assembly. Mr. Simonds talked about his time serving in the U.S. Navy and how, despite the chaos raging around the world, we can hold on to our faith while still fighting for freedom and for those who are oppressed here and abroad. We salute Mr. Simonds for his years of service in the Navy and to all those who have and are currently serving in our Armed Forces.
