Love Bites is back and we are sassier than ever!
Looking for something unique and memorable for that not-so-special someone in your life this Valentine's Day? You can join in on the fun by donating to symbolically name a cricket, superworm, or veggie after your not-so-special someone!
You will then receive a personalized Valentine's card with a video of one of the animals at the St.
Louis Aquarium enjoying a tasty treat named
after your not-so-special someone. This year, the St. Louis Aquarium's tortoises, Nitro or Nugget, will be chomping down on the veggie, the superworm will be fed to Tarasenko or Binnington, the blue tongue skinks, and the cricket will be eaten by Clementine the chameleon!

In October, we completed our 2024 Revamp the Riverfront series!
Throughout the year, we held 7 river cleanups in partnership with Great Rivers Greenway, along with hosting a Young Professionals Board cleanup and participating in Purina Cares Day as a part of our commitment to water stewardship and supporting our downtown neighbors.
Overall, in our 2024 Revamp the Riverfront series, 184 volunteers collected approximately 200 bags of trash, totaling over 3,600 pounds of pollution prevented from entering the Mighty Mississippi and eventually our oceans! Thank you to all our volunteers who joined us last year in demonstrating our commitment to protecting our rivers and ocean from plastic pollution. We appreciate your efforts and so do all of the Riverfront visitors and aquatic animals who make the Mississippi River their home!
As our 2024 series comes to a close, we are EEL-ated to announce our 2025 Revamp the Riverfront series dates and locations!
| |
This year, we will have a total of 7 cleanups available for registration! Join us in Revamping the Riverfront to protect our waterways by preventing debris from spilling into the Mississippi River and traveling out to our oceans! The ability to expand our commitment to water stewardships would not be possible without our amazing volunteers, so we hope that you will be able to join us this year to continue supporting our community. | |

Night at the Aquarium
The St. Louis Aquarium Foundation Education Team is thrilled to announce the Night at the Aquarium program, where Sophomore to Senior high school students of the 2025-2026 school year are invited to learn about ocean-related topics from Aquarium experts, choose a topic to study, create a presentation for that topic, and present their work at the St. Louis Aquarium Foundation gala, Splash Bash, in the fall.
This program's mission is to get high school students involved in ocean-related studies and conservation, despite having no direct access to the ocean, as we are all connected to the ocean. Night at the Aquarium not only raises awareness of the importance of the ocean for all life, but highlights ocean environments, and teaches concrete actions we can take to improve ocean healthy.
