Water and Energy Education Newsletter
January 2020
Hello Teachers,

Happy New Year! As we head into 2020, we want to share a few highlights from our fall programming and remind you of the water and energy educational opportunities you can still sign up for as you move into the second half of the school year.
Oh, So Many Otters!
Last fall, we were fortunate to have observed the North American river otter during several of our 5 th grade field trips to the Russian River. Students delighted in seeing otters in their natural habitat doing what they do best; hunting, swimming, basking in the sun, and generally enjoying life with a companion or two, or four!
NEW EXHIBIT!
Recently, our education center at the Russian River received a new addition to help us teach the public about the dynamic system that delivers water to our homes every day. We are excited to share this with our visiting 5 th graders and the general public in future public tours. Stay informed of future events by liking our Facebook page @sonomawater.
