Through My Lens

February 2018

We all look at life through our own lens

The Winter Olympics have captured the heart and soul of all who are watching these magnificent, devoted athletes compete for that prize possession a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Medal. Years of hard work, sacrifice and devotion have gone into winning this medal. It causes me to think about what I have devoted my life to winning?  Perhaps you have asked or are asking the same question.

Winter Olympics

As we watch the Winter Olympics

Astonished we seem to be,

With all the great athletes competing

To hold a medal for the world to see.

They've trained for years to win

That medal to hold in their hand,

But that medal will lose its sparkle

And someday turn to sand.

We all are in training every day

To hold a great medal someday.

The medal of peace and joy in our heart

That can never be taken away.

So train we do, one day at a time,

We pray and study God's way.

For this medal of love,  joy, and peace

Can never be taken away.

and now I have realized now I need to set another goal."
