SHEEP CROSSING TRAIL - FUTS SEGMENT COMPLETED
The new Flagstaff Urban Trail System (FUTS) segment, Sheep Crossing Trail, has been completed. Kinney Construction Services (KCS) was the contractor working on the new FUTS trail segment. The 0.82-mile trail runs south of the racetrack in Fort Tuthill County Park towards Hwy 89A, to a tunnel that is underneath I-17, and connects the park to the east side of the freeway and the Ponderosa Trail neighborhood. Some of the original fort boundary stone bollards remain adjacent to the trail and will be rehabbed to include park entrance signage.
