F. M. Law Park Restoration
Beginning December 15, 2025, Houston Golf Association will invest greater resources and cross collaboration with existing municipal golf operations to make golf accessible to the community by opening to the public for play and practice during specific times.
The use of this facility has been completely subsidized for First Tee members, and our intent is to maintain this experience for youth while improving the quality and long-term sustainability of F. M. Law Park. Diversifying revenue will assist with ambitious fundraising goals for our current $6 M capital campaign and, to provide on-going maintenance.

I-45 Cup Weekend at Sand Hill Farm
This past weekend, First Tee – Greater Houston traveled to Sand Hill Farm for the annual I-45 Cup against First Tee – Fort Worth. The teams competed in three formats—foursome, fourball, and singles match play.
Houston started strong, leading after Round 1 (3.5–2.5), and continued to battle hard through the final rounds. While Fort Worth ultimately claimed the Cup, we couldn’t be prouder of the effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship our players displayed all weekend. A big thank-you to our families for their continued support!

National Opportunity Showcase Launching in 2026
Thanks to First Tee’s national corporate partners and generous donors, we are able to offer a variety of educational and leadership opportunities each year. These once-in-a-lifetime experiences help participants grow as young leaders.
| | | |
National Opportunities are highly competitive and valuable experiences that offer personal growth, leadership development, and the chance to represent First Tee – Greater Houston on a national stage.
We’re introducing a fresh, dynamic format for our 2026 National Opportunity Selection Process — the National Opportunity Showcase.
This new approach goes beyond traditional interviews, giving students the chance to present their talents through performance, storytelling, and reflection.
Eligible participants (ages 14+, with 2+ years of chapter involvement) will submit an essay and deliver a short presentation highlighting their strengths and aspirations.
More details will be shared in January 2026 — stay tuned!

Help Us Reach $3 Million
Our main youth facility is unique in that we have operational control over the 70-acre property through a long-term lease with the City of Houston until 2044, with options for renewals. We have raised $2.3 M of the $6 M total and need to reach $3 M by March 2026 to break ground and apply for grants from many foundations that require us to be at the halfway mark.
Your support today helps build more than just a facility — it’s an investment in the young people and families who call First Tee home. Together, we can create a space where our community continues to learn, grow, and thrive for generations to come.
Together, we can make this happen—will you be part of it?
