The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors and Tracy City Council have both ratified proclamations confirming the existing of a local emergency related to the severe winter storm.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER CONDITIONS

Wind Advisory in effect from January 10 until 01:00 PM PST:

  • Secure outdoor objects
  • Prepare for power outages
  • Saturated soils will allow for trees to topple more easily
  • Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle


Flood Advisory in effect January 10, 2023 until 08:00 PM PST:

  • Brief heavy rain will be possible with showers and thunderstorms bringing an urban and small stream flooding risk
  • Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads - most flood deaths occur in vehicles
  • Be especially cautions at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding

San Joaquin County Lane and Road Closure Information

Sand bags are available to all San Joaquin County residents at Boyd Service Center and South County Fire Station 93 (1400 W. Durham Ferry Road). Visit SJReady.org for all San Joaquin County sand bag locations.

Customers dependent on life-support equipment, CPAP machines, and/or require special heating or cooling needs for certain medical conditions should sign up for PG&E’s Medical Baseline Program. To make sure customers know about a potential safety outage, extra notifications are also provided through PG&E’s Vulnerable Customer Status. PG&E customers are encouraged to prepare for the storm by having an emergency plan and updating their contact information online for real-time updates on outages in their neighborhood.
