GCT trustees Susan Hughes and Chuck Vander Linden plan to start the year off right with a First Day hike to ring in the New Year at Throne Hill. This is a free event but registration is required.

We are excited to bring this very popular event back to the beautiful places in Groton. This year we have concentrated more decorations at three locations: The General Field, Hayes Woods, and Fitch-Woods. Be sure to visit them all over the winter holidays. Thank you very much to all of the local organizations and volunteers participating in this event and decorating trees!

Dr. Scott Edwards on his COVID adventure, ~3800 mile, 76-day bicycle ride across the US. He will share his experiences - and the birds he saw - with us in March.

Bates is open! Our big restoration project is on pause for the winter. We will close again in the spring once the land is suitable for work again to complete the project. The meadows have been seeded with native plants and the first leg of the accessible trail has been installed from the parking area to the meadows. More info at our website.
