Hello!

Please find below news and notices for the month of November.

VIVE
  • We’re beyond excited to say that over the holiday season, VIVE will be introducing more people to shop Circle Craft. This young marketing and PR firm has tons of fresh ideas to spotlight your art and engage new and old shoppers, and we look forward to brighter winter days.

Drive Time
  • We have partnered with our fellow co-operative, Modo Car Co-Op to offer $50 driving credit when joining as new members with the code CIRCLECRAFTCOOP. Modo operates its carshare throughout the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, Squamish, and the Okanagan. For more info or to activate your offer, go to modo.coop

Here Comes the Sun
  • Our post-solstice member show returns for January and February 2021. Please send our Exhibitions Coordinator Shanna Cheng proposals for work encompassing themes of rebirth, resolutions, renewal, sunshine, the tilting of the earth on its axis…

E-transfers
  • If you haven’t already, please let us know if you’d like your commission payment received via e-transfer. Email Afuwa with the email address that’s connected to your online bank account, and, if different, the email address to which you’d like us to send the pdf of your commission detail.

Inventory Specialist
  • We are steadily modernizing and streamlining our inventory system and the information we can provide to you. As part of this push, we are happy to announce that Gallery sales staff Heather Flynn is putting her master’s degree in Museum Studies to good use by stepping into the temporary (but very necessary) role of Inventory Specialist. Heather will be taking on the task of reconciling stock on hand with amounts listed in our system.

Extravagant Art Online
  • Craft Council has an initiative to encourage sales of higher price point items on its website, and things they don’t normally carry in their retail location – yes, this means large tapestries, furniture, showpiece jewellery, fashion, and bigger-than-your-imagination items. They would especially like to extend this offer to Circle Craft members who are current or prospective CCBC members.

Online Holiday Market
  • North Shore News is partnering with Glacier Media Group to have an online holiday market, a $200 package which includes advertising on Metro Vancouver publications' websites, social media ads, an article for the launch, and more – in all, six weeks of advertisement & placement. Additional exposure is available at extra cost. They promise a large online readership in the Vancouver/Burnaby/Richmond/North Shore/Delta/Tri-Cities/New Westminster/Bowen Island communities.

  • For more information please contact Tannis Hendriks, Marketing, Promotions & Special Features Coordinator at North Shore News: at 604-998-3519 or 604-358-9909

Stuffed Bear Supplies
  • We got the sweetest call from Lorna Anderson, an artist who is no longer able to make the stuffed bears she’s known for. Lorna would love to donate her supplies to one of you who can use them.

  • If you are a plushie-creator/stuffie-maker, or know someone who is, please contact Lorna 604-465-4364 or lornaemail@yahoo.com.

Warmest wishes from all of us at the Gallery,
Afuwa.
